Our Puppies

All puppies are sold with a comprehensive written sales contract, plus a lifetime of help, advice and assistance! Puppies are micro-chipped and are sold with limited registration with both the AKC (American Kennel Club) and CKCSC-USA (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club-USA). Every puppy is sold on a non-breeding agreement. All pet puppies will be spayed/neutered prior to leaving our home, no exceptions.

Following a very wise practice "quality over quantity" we produce litters only occasionally to find that special show dog. They are whelped in our home and are raised "underfoot" until they are ready to go to their new homes at 10-12 weeks of age. Puppies are socialized well to children, people, animals and normal household activity. Before going to their new homes puppies are thoroughly checked by our Veterinarian, given their first shots, de-wormed (if necessary), microchipped, and altered (spayed/neutered).

All puppies are started on basic obedience, crate-training and housebreaking. We perform puppy aptitude testing on all our puppies, prior to placing them in their new homes. Our puppy aptitude test are to make sure the right puppy goes to the right home. We stress proper socialization and training at an early age!

You are welcome to visit our home to see our dogs and our puppies, but on an appointment only basis.

We do require a personal visit and will not ship puppies or dogs, so you will have to travel to Charleston, South Carolina to pick up your puppy. At Charivari, our relationship doesn't end when you pick up your puppy; on the contrary, it is just the beginning. Charivari maintains a lifetime commitment to our puppies. If at any time you find yourself unable to keep one of our dogs, we will gladly buy him or her back! Our goal is that no Charivari puppy/dog will ever be turned into a shelter or rescue group.

We encourage all dog owners to do obedience training and agility with their puppies, as a trained, obedient dog is happy and well-adjusted and therefore makes an excellent companion, is a joy to have around the house and can be taken anywhere without being a nuisance. We even offer incentive programs for those that title their dogs. We require fenced yards for our puppies and that they are indoor dogs only. Cavaliers love people especially their families and require a constant supply of love and devotion. They also adore children and get along well with other dogs, cats and various family pets.
